JJ Slevin rode his fourth winner of the week at the Punchestown festival when 12/1 chance Brideswell Lad came from an unlikely position to win the Palmerstown House Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase.

Seamus Neville 's seven-year-old had ten rivals in front of him turning for home with two to jump. The always-prominent Sam Brown came down at that fence and Brideswell Lad picked up well to move into second at the last. He got past Ballykeel on the run-in and stayed on well to beat that rival by three parts of a length with the veteran Snugsborough Benny back in third.

It was a fourth win of the season for the Shirocco gelding.

Slevin's big winner was Fastorslow in the Punchestown Gold Cup on Wednesday and he also hit the target on Indie Belle on Thursday and Monbeg Park on Friday.
