Trainer Paul Nolan continued his good start to the new season with consistent Mister Bells win in Killarney's Kelly Foley O'Connor Pyne Handicap Chase today, as jockey Jordan Gainford completed a double.

Gainford, earlier successful on 20/1 chance Calagogo for Sneazy Foster, steered Mister Bells to a hard-fought length and a quarter win over Old Town Road

It was the son of Power's second win of the summer having scored at Limerick in May and also filled the runner-up at Kilbeggan in June and Tipperary in July.

Nolan was registering his 11th winner of the new season, equaling his total for 2019/20, and following the race Gainford stated “Paul's horses are in great form and he was in great form coming here. He has had three very consistent runs but I thought the ground was going against him.

"The trip was right for him, we went a right good gallop and in fairness to the horse in front of me (eventual runner-up Old Town Road), he was game but my lad stayed well to the line."
