The Game Changer got back to winning ways as he ran out an easy victor of the three runner Wallstone Financial Novice Chase.

Successful on his first two starts over fences the Gordon Elliott trained gelding was disappointingly beaten by Arnaud on his last start at Wexford.

Sent off the 8/11 favourite this evening he made all under Davy Russell. Upazo looked held in second when he crashed out two from the finish.

As a result The Game Changer came home at his leisure with stable mate Shadow Catch forty-seven lengths behind him in second.

Gordon Elliott said afterwards: "I was humming and hawing this morning on whether to run him or not but that was great and he likes being ridden like that.

"It was a nice race to win and he'll run in the Galway Hurdle next."
