Gentleman completes Mullins treble

Willie Mullins, successful earlier with short-priced favourites Final Approach and Simenon completed a treble on the afternoon at Cork when sending out Perfect Gentleman to make a winning debut under his son Patrick in the bumper.

The well-backed 5/4 favourite was patiently ridden to lead under two furlongs out, and driven out in the final furlong to beat Finish The Story (16/1) by five lengths. Supreme Bob (11/4) finished third.

Mullins said, “Patrick felt he raced very green and I'd expect a good bit of improvement as he has a good pedigree. I'm not sure if we'll go for a winners bumper or go jumping.”
