Geraghty strikes again on Asymmetrical

Barry Geraghty, fresh from a treble at Bellewstown last night, was on the score sheet again when Asymmetrical ran out an easy winner of the Pat Doyle Memorial Maiden Hurdle at Kilbeggan.

Tony Martin's charge cruised into contention in the three-miler and hit the front before the final flight.

Geraghty didn't need to ask the 4/1 joint favourite too many questions to record a three-and-a-half length success over Days Of Glory

The other 4/1 joint-favourite What An Article was a faller at the ninth flight.

"He was entitled to that on his last couple of runs," said Martin afterwards.

"He's not a bad horse. He just gallops and jumps. He was a bit unlucky at Cork last time. He's a bit slow and the three-miles brought out the best in him."
