The Danoli racing silks are something of a national treasure and the colours were carried to success in the Black Point Handicap Hurdle at Wexford today when Golanbrook under Andrew McNamara, made all to win for trainer Tom Foley.

Dan O'Neill's famous blue and white silks have seen better day's racing but Golanbrook put in a fine front running display to see off the challenge of Benefit Of Porter by two and a quarter lengths.

Afterwards Foley reported “that makes up for his disappointing run at Cork – I was sick coming out of there because I thought he'd run well. He has lots of ability when he wants to do it.

“Andrew (McNamara) said he should go over fences but I wouldn't be so sure because if things went wrong, he mightn't want to do it anymore!”
