Gorman scores with 50/1 shot

Jim Gorman's Billys Dream showed substantial improvement from her debut effort at Dundalk to cause a 50/1 upset in the TRI Equestrian Vintage Crop EBF Maiden under Chris Hayes making it a double on the day for him.

The win was a welcome one for connections who had previously paid ?16,000 to run in the Goffs Fillies Millions before having to be withdrawn at the start after the Dubai Destination filly kicked jockey Niall McCullagh in the parade ring.

"She is kinky but has pedigree to burn. It was very disappointing not to get a run in the Millions having paid the ?16,000 and then when she ran at Dundalk she was very green but we always knew she had ability and could be one to look forward to for next year" said Gorman afterwards.
