In-form Ger Lyons saw his Greek Canyon make all for the second time in four days as the four-year-old took the closing seven furlong rated race at Leopardstown.

On Sunday Greek Canyon put his opponents to the sword over six furlongs at Fairyhouse and tonight the 11/8 favourite and Colin Keane held on despite the late thrust from Legal Lyric (13/8) and Seamie Heffernan who failed by a head to get up.

“There was some hiccup with the ground here and they made the last 50 yards soft. It’s good to firm all the way round and then the last 50 yards is soft,” Ger Lyons commented.

“Colin (Keane) said he was running out of petrol due to a combination of ground and trip. There’s a race back here for him for horses rated 90.”
