Gusda wins for Fenton

The Philip Fenton trained Gusda under Shay Barry, ran out the seven length winner of the featured Blackwater Handicap Hurdle at Cork today.

The son of Lend A Hand chased the leaders, progressed to lead before the final flight before staying on well to defeat hat-trick seeking Mystical Breeze

Afterwards Fenton reported "Gusda was narrowly beaten a few times last year and deserved a win. He'll keep running in handicap hurdles for now but will go chasing eventually."
