Trainer Jessica Harrington's fantastic Friday has rolled over into Saturday when her Hurricane Ridge won the Live Music After Racing Handicap Hurdle at Gowran, completing a double on the day for Mark Bolger.

Bolger, who works for Harrington, missed out on the trainer's bonanza yesterday (four winners at Gowran followed by one more at Dundalk) but followed up his opening race win on Lindenhurst with a battling success on Hurricane Ridge who got the better of Hold Em Cowboy on the run-in.

Harrington later stated “he (Hurricane Ridge) ran well at Listowel for a long time when the ground was just too deep; I thought today, on good ground, everything was right for him and he even got to the front a bit too soon and pricked his ears!

“He doesn't handle heavy ground or firm funnily enough.”

Harrington added “it's great for Mark to get the double” and the jockey later stated “I've been lucky enough over the summer to get plenty of rides and plenty of winners. Hopefully I'll continue to stay in one piece and I'll tip away.”

The win was a tenth of the season for Bolger who rode out his right to claim (and 60th winner) on Hurricane Ridge.
