Headford flies home for O'Grady

Punters were kept happy this evening at Kilbeggan when the even money favourite Headford Flyer ran out a convincing winner of division two of the Cornaher Maiden Hurdle.

McNamara produced the Shernazar gelding to lead at the second last and the pair soon quickened clear to record an easy two and a half lengths win over Queen Of Cool

Winning trainer Eoghan O'Grady said afterwards: "That was super. We'll probably give him a break now and bring him back in the Autumn for a novice hurdle."

"We might give him one more run on the flat before he has his break."
