The Sneazy Foster trained Simple Joys (25/1, 36/1 on the Tote) surprised just about everyone when winning the Limerick Racecourse E19 Munster Madness Handicap Hurdle at Limerick today, arriving with a wet sail to win under Brian Cawley.

Following the win, Foster stated “that was a surprise, no doubt about it! She is a very tricky and hormonal mare and you don't know what to expect with her.

“Andrew Balding had her in Britain but she wouldn't enter stalls so was sent to me to go hurdling. A lot of the credit has to go to Robbie Power though as she initially wouldn't jump but Robbie eventually got her jumping over cross-country fences.

“She was supposed to go to a stallion in the new year but winning a race might now change that!”
