Hughes records double

Dessie Hughes and owner Gerry Burke recorded a quick double this afternoon when winning The Albany Hurdle with Montero with Ian McCarthy in the saddle.

McCarthy settled his mount in behind the leader and improved to lead just after 2 out and kept on well to win by an easy 3 lengths holding off the late efforts of Tom Taaffe's Schlinders Gold.
