Hurricane Ridge burst between horses close home to land the concluding Trim Handicap at Navan this evening. Lethal Weapon led early but was soon headed by Tiger At Heart He reclaimed the lead over two furlongs out but was soon strongly pressed by Jackonslady.

The pair battled it out inside the final furlong and although Jackonslady just got on top in the closing stages her lead was short-lived as Shane Foley came with a daring run between the duo.

Jessica Harrington 's charge got up for a neck success. He had been ridden along two furlongs out but stayed on well when they hit rising ground inside the final furlong.

It was another bad result for the bookies on a night of gambles with the winner supported from 8/1 into 5/1 on course having been as big as 10/1 this morning.

“He was tough and had to squeeze his way through,” said Harrington.

“He ran a blinder at Leopardstown but it was just too soft for him and the ground was also against him at Punchestown last time.

“He'll continue to mix it between Flat and hurdles.”
