Hurryupharriet (4/1) deservedly got off the mark, as she took the opener at Tipperary this evening, the McGrath Oil Maiden.

The Willie McCreery trained filly has been a model of consistency since starting off in May, and she already has blacktype as a result of her third place finishing in the Listed Danehill Dancer Tipperary Stakes over the course and distance last month.

Ridden by Pat Smullen, the bay daughter of Camacho, made virtually all this evening, kicking on just over a furlong out and keeping on well from there to record a comfortable two and a quarter length success. Amygdala ran a nice race to finish second at 7/1 under Billy Lee for David Wachman, while the 5/2 favourite, Treadstone could only manage third, a nose back under Wayne Lordan for Tommy Stack.

Willie McCreery said afterwards: "There was a breeze blowing behind her and that suited her as she is very fast.

"She is an out and out five furlong filly and Pat let her do what she wanted, bowling along in front, but he still held on to a little bit.

"She has always been smart and she already has blacktype. She might go for a Listed race at the Curragh next.

"She is owned by an English banker, John Davies, who is based in Riyadh."

The winner was purchased by McCreery for €10,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland November Flat Sale last year.
