Impersonator wins for Mullins'

Ten year old Impersonator was the well backed (5/1 - 7/2) winner of the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Tipperary today, scoring for uncle/nephew combination Tony & Emmet Mullins.

Afterwards trainer Tony Mullins stated "Impersonator is an old horse and wont be going to the top unfortunately! He has a soft palate problem and can run a stinker at times when he 'slips' his palate. However a fast pace suits him as he can come into a race late 'on the bridle'. We may go for a handicap hurdle at Galway next."

Former champion jockey Mullins, rarely short of a witticism, added "Impersonator refuses to allow us put a tongue tie on, its either his way, or no way - he's a bit like myself in that regard!"
