Indigo Balance pulled away in fine style to win by a wide margin in the featured sprint handicap at Tipperary this evening.

The Jessica Harrington had finished second on his return to action in Ireland at the Curragh last month.

Shane Foley got a nice lead on the son of Invincible Spirit in tonight's five furlong contest before sending him to the front over a furlong from home.

The 9/4 favourite powered away in the closing stages to record a six-length win over Mi Esperanza

Indigo Balance was a Listed winner for Harrington as a juvenile and spent the last two seasons campaigning in Australia without success.

Foley said afterwards:- "Obviously Mrs Harrington has the key to him as he did no good in Australia for the Snowdens.

“He is a fine big horse, was a very good two year old but then lost his way a bit and seems to be finding his way.

"He mightn't be running in handicaps after today.

"I think he'll take the step (to Stakes level) and he had been showing a lot of pace. He isn't the easiest of rides at home and came on a lot for the Curragh.

"I think he'll get six but showed a lot of pace today, more than I thought he even had."
