Shane Jackson was at his best when holding off Shamiran and Davy Russell to land the Athlone (C&G) Maiden Hurdle aboard 10/1 shot Urban Gale from the Philip Rothwell stable.

Jackson raced the City Of Honours gelding in behind the leaders, on terms from 3 out, improved to lead entering straight and kept on well under a strong drive to win by 3/4 length.
