Jackson finds a Friend in Vinnies

Shane Jackson produced Vinnies Friend with a well-timed run to claim the second division of the two-mile handicap hurdle at Tipperary.

Eoin Doyle's charge left her last run at Wexford well behind to run out a convincing winner.

The Beneficial filly emerged as a threat after the second last and a good jump took her to the lead at the final flight.

She stayed on well to record a length-and-a-quarter victory over Lady Chatterbox

"I got her out of Gordon Elliott's yard after Christmas. She hasn't been the easiest to train and has had a few problems," said Doyle afterwards.

"But she worked well last week. She was possibly well in. She has ability and switches off if they go a good gallop. We'll go for something similar."
