Shane Jackson made a welcome return to the winner’s enclosure when coming home in front in the Colm Quinn BMW Athlone Handicap Hurdle aboard the Philip Rothwell trained Dark Arctic
Winning trainer Rothwell said, “I’m delighted he’s won as we’ve had a lot of seconds lately. The horse’s are flying at the moment. He will probably go to Galway next for the amateur handicap.”
Rothwell also stated, “I’m delighted for Shane he has had some very heavy falls recently and it’s nice to see him getting his confidence back. He is an exceptional jockey and is a huge asset to my stable.”
