Kalellshan makes it a winning debut over fences

Paul Flynn’s charge Kalellshan opened up his account over fences after he ran out a cosy winner of the Waterford & Tramore Directors Beginners Chase in the hands of Mick Darcy for owner Liam O’Kelly.

Winning trainer Flynn stated afterwards: “That was his first run over fences. He jumped very well and the conditions of the race really suited him.”

“It was for horses rated 109 or less over hurdles and my lad would have been the highest raced horse over hurdles. I had thought about Listowel but I’m too sure if he’s as good going left-handed.”
