Kastett makes impression

Romie's Kastett looks to have a bright future after running out a convincing winner of the fillies maiden at Gowran Park.

Fran Berry kept his mount to the centre to avail of the better ground turning in and the 4/5 favourite hit the front over two furlongs from home.

The John Oxx-trained daughter of Halling asserted in the final furlong to post a cosy five-length win over Key Secure

"She had a good run at the Curragh and needed this step up in trip. She also appreciated the drop of rain," said Jimmy O'Neill, Oxx's assistant.

"We'll see what the handicapper does with her and take it from there. She's a filly that will stay a mile-and-a-half.

"She's a half-sister to Norse Dancer, who was placed in the King George, and she's a promising filly."
