After the success of his Apache Trooper in the third at Roscommon Ger Lyons made the announcement that Colin Keane is now his first jockey.

Keane, who is a son of trainer Ger Keane and finished second to Connor King in the apprentice title race last season, has already ridden sixteen winners this season, the majority of which have been for Lyons.

"As of today Colin Keane is officially my number one jockey. Gary (Carroll) will ride what Colin doesn’t and Emmett (McNamara) is there too." Lyons stated.
