Fethard based Harry Kelly got his training career off to a dream start when Hilltop Tommy made a successful debut in the bumper at Cork.

Saddling just his second runner, and holding a licence for only two weeks, Kelly is still working with John Halley and has 12 horses.

The son of Dr Massini was driven into a decisive lead over two furlongs out by Pa King, and the 20/1 chance stayed on well to beat Wontbelongnow by four and a half lengths. Way Up In The Air (7/1) was a further length adrift in third.

Kelly said, “This horse is for sale. To be honest I thought he would be too green today, and that he would be a good-thing next time out!”
