Kenneally on the mark at Cork again

Kilworth trainer Des Kenneally justifiably likes Cork racecourse as he saddled his second winner, both of which have come at Mallow, when Letterofapproval landed the concluding Corkracecourse.ie Flat Race.

Ridden by Colin Motherway and also owned and bred by the Kenneallys, the Oscar gelding won well, by six lengths from Sultans Of Swing All The Best Mate slipped up but thankfully got up and cantered away when lying in fourth place under a furlong out.

Kenneally, who won with Collou at Cork back in May 2007, said: "I keep about four horses and I'm training for about three or four years. This fellow will probably go hurdling now. I didn't think he'd like the ground but Colin said he went away through it grand."

The gambled-on For Dylan (6s into 11/4) could only manage third place.
