Trainer Michael Halford and stable jockey Shane Foley combined to win the Naas Racecourse On Facebook Handicap at Naas today, with Kings Ryker which made all under an enterprising ride.

The son of Bushranger was soon in front and in the end maintained the gallop for a half length win over Hurricane Cass

Halford later stated "there wasn't any obvious pace and we wanted to sit handy and he had a good draw so I said to Shane to jump out and make up his own mind.

"He had some good runs but was struggling with the handicap for a long time. He's straight-forward, tries hard and deserves it.

"It's nice to win one for this man (Eric Koh). He's Singapore based and I'd say this horse will end up in Singapore."
