Tyrone based James Lambe continues to register winners and recorded his 125th winner of his career when his Breeze With Ease landed the Premier Bakeries Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick today.
Ridden by Eddie O’Connell (recording his 15th winner of the season), the son of Fourstars Allstar led after two out, but was headed by Market Watcher after the final flight. However Market Watcher drifted left on the run-in, losing invaluable ground, effectively allowing Breeze With Ease a second chance to get his head in front close home.
Afterwards Lambe stated “Breeze With Ease can be a tricky horse and missed the start a little today and then hit the front too early! However he has always showed me ability at home and we’ll aim him at something similar again next.”
