The Gavin Cromwell-trained Letsbeclearaboutit justified his short price in the three-mile maiden hurdle at Punchestown with a wide margin success.

Keith Donoghue made all on the 2/7 favourite and he kicked on from his rivals turning for home to record a cosy 22-length success.

The Flemensfirth gelding was dropping in class having been second in Grade 2 company at Limerick over Christmas.

It was a double on the card for Cromwell, following the earlier victory of The King Of Prs and he said afterwards:-

“That's a relief as the likes of him should be winning. He was good and jumped well.

“He has experience now and he'd want to be winning that, anyway I'm delighted.

“I don't know where we go now, I'll talk to the owners, but I'd like to give him an Albert Bartlett entry.

“He's definitely going to go chasing long term so whether we go straight chasing now or whether we continue at this I'm not sure.”
