The defection of Ado McGuinness' Gold Falcon (change in ground) in the Tote Trifecta Rollover Handicap saw Ian Brennan switch to the other runner from the yard, Toufan Express down the bottom of the handicap, in place of Ben Curtis. Brennan got the old stager home in the Tote Trifecta Rollover Handicap at Galway.

Winner of a big handicap at Ballybrit in the past, the now eleven-year-old son of Fraam, owned by Sean Gallagher, stayed on best in the closing stages to give the bookies a turn at odds of 16/1. The Black Devil was second at a distance of three parts of a length.

Brennan stated: "He travelled really well and he loves it around here. I was on a fresh strip of ground out wide and it worked out well."

McGuinness explained: "He won a big handicap here a few years back with Fran Berry. I told Ian today to try and stay in touch and that he'd come up the hill well.

"He gives his all every day he goes out and he's just a pleasure of a horse.

"He's an old man now but we keep him nice and happy – sweet and sound by bringing him to the beach regularly.

"He's in again on Sunday but I don't know whether he'll get in. He's in at Leopardstown next week as well." (TW & EM)
