Ten years ago his dam, Top Flight Travel impressively took a bumper by six lengths at the track, and her son by Oscar, Damien's Oscar followed in his mother's hoof-prints in the Lacken Hill Flat Race at Wexford this evening, scoring by seven lengths in the hands of Adrienne Foley.
Supported in the offices this morning at 8/1 (at least), the 13/2 chance led with half a mile left to race and went clear in the straight to beat the staying-on Major Decision
The winning rider's father, Tom trains Damien's Oscar for Kilmuckridge, Co. Wexford man, Daniel Doyle, who also bred the six-year-old. He was successful 'between the flags' at Stradbally when under the care of Darragh Brennan. (EM)
