Lingapour gets up on line

Lingapour left it late in the opening maiden at Dundalk, just edging ahead on the line to claim the spoils. Slade who had lead before halfway, made his rivals work hard but was just pegged back in the closing stages. Echoes Of History and Lingapour threw down challenges in the final furlong and it was theJohn Oxx-trained 5/4 favourite who just got his head in front on the line.

"He made hard work of it but it's job done - he's won a maiden," said winning rider Fran Berry afterwards.
