Loosen My Load takes opener at Punchestown

The Henry de Bromhead trained Loosen My Load made his debut appearance over fences a winning one when taking the opening Motivate Challenge Beginners Chase in good style.

The 7/4 favourite who was always travelling well took up the lead just before the last under Andrew Lynch.

The pair soon forged clear to record a three and a length win over long time leader Trimbellina

Winning trainer de Bromhead said afterwards: “He was good there, I’m delighted with him. He jumped great and he’s always looked like a chaser.”

“He’s got off to a nice start and Andrew [Lynch] gave him a brilliant ride and got him jumping well and he didn’t have to be hard on him which was good.”

“It looked to be a good enough race, they went a proper gallop.”

“I’d imagine we’ll put him away until the Autumn now but we’ll have to discuss it with the owners.”
