The Join Go Racing In Kildare 2014 Handicap at The Curragh today provided a tight finish with the Ger Lyons trained Greek Canyon coming out at the right side of a three way photo finish to give top apprentice jockey Colin Keane his 30th winner of the season.

Keane, who lies six winners behind Connor King at the head of the Jockeys' Apprentice Championship, edged Greek Canyon to the front at the line for a short head and another short head win over Tylery Wonder and Six Of Hearts.

Afterwards Lyons' brother and assistant Shane Lyons stated “he timed it to perfection! He has some heart and we're chuffed as he's a real stable star!”

“Six or seven (furlongs) on good ground is what he wants and he normally runs well around a bend; his heart got him up today though.

“As long as the ground stays good he'll keep going but he has never really acted at Dundalk and the few bad runs he had, were there. He's with us for life though so he'll get another try (at Dundalk) at some stage; he's a real stable pet!”

Greek Canyon was recording a seventh career win and his fourth success from his last five appearances.
