Mae makes winning racecourse debut

Point to point winner Mae’s Choice made a winning racecourse debut in the Bet With The Bookies Mares Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick today, scoring easily for trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey Paul Carberry.

The daughter of Presenting, a winner at Kirkistown point to point ten days ago, moved to the front after two out before staying on strongly for an easy win over Dangan Daylight

Afterwards Elliott stated “Mae’s Choice is an honest mare but it wasn’t the greatest race and I wouldn’t be getting too excited. We’ll find another mares’ race for her, either here or in England. She is owned by her breeders Michael Sammon and his wife Sheena, from Co Meath.”
