Magen looks a Star in making

Magen's Star produced another impressive front-running performance to make it two from two over hurdles in the Kilsheelan Mares Novice Hurdle at Clonmel.

Davy Condon 's mount had a healthy lead after a couple of flights and never saw another rival from there.

The Tommy Stack-trained Galileo mare cruised home down the straight to record an easy 15-length victory over Stephanie Kate

The 15/8 favourite had scored in similar style on her hurdling debut at Thurles back in November before meeting with a setback.

"She loves that ground and can't get it soft enough so plans are ground dependent," said Stack afterwards.

"She hadn't run in 90 days as she had an infection in a joint and it blew up a bit. She had to stand in for a fortnight. The rest may have done her good!"
