Maggie Neary gains maiden win

Connections of the consistent Maggie Neary were rewarded with a maiden win in the Winter Racing At Dundalk Maiden at Dundalk this evening, completing a double for winning jockey Johnny Murtagh.

The Charlie Swan trained daughter of Hurricane Run tracked the leaders before being produced to take over the lead from favourite Azores a furlong out, before recording a comfortable win.

Afterwards Swan said “at long last! She’s always been a nice horse but has been unlucky with a few bad draws. She won nicely and stays 1m4f. She got a good ride and had a nice draw.”
