Manacor masters hotpot Deorai

Dermot Weld is hopeful Manacor can make into a nice three-year-old following his success in the auction race at Galway.

The race developed into a duel between Pat Smullen's mount and 10/11 favourite Deorai

Manacor found more inside the final furlong to post a length-and-a-half success and he was going away at the line.

"I think he'll make a very nice staying colt next year," said Weld afterwards.

"He's by Refuse To Bend out of a Rainbow Quest and we might go 1m2f or 1m4f with him. He could come back here next year.

"He handles the track well and ran well here at the summer meeting so this was a logical race for him.

"I might leave him off now. He's a big horse that has a lot of maturing to do."
