Trainer Pat Martin saddled 10/1 shot Sugar Baby Love to land the Oakfield Handicap in the hands of Fran Berry for owner Martin Byrne.
Berry came with a run on the wide outside to take up the lead inside the final furlong and kept on well to hold off Maximo and Ben Curtis by half a length.
A delighted Martin said afterwards: "The owner Martin Byrne couldn't make it today, he's a new owner of mine. He is the manager of the local football team in Rathkenny."
"This is his first horse, so he's off to a nice start. She ran a nice race in Dundalk and I think the extra trip suited her."
"We will probably look for something similiar for her."
