The 123 rated Mazuri Cowboy gained an overdue win in the Tramore Family Fun Day Maiden Hurdle at Tramore today, justifying 11/8 favouritism in the process.

Ridden by capable five pounds claimer Mikey Butler, the son of Pilsudski helped secure his win with a good jump at the final flight, staying on well on the run-in to hold the challenges of Dowd's Angle and Carlos Fandango

Afterwards winning trainer Eoin Doyle said “he scoped badly after his run at Thurles and he missed some work after that and we only have him back three weeks. He'll come from today but we'll probably park him up now for the summer because he wouldn't want the ground too firm. We'll bring him back around Listowel time (September).”
