Wayne Lordan's agent and well known racing journalist, Ryan McElligott was fined €200 by the Leopardstown Stewards tonight for booking the jockey to ride Brother Rabbit in the 7:25.

Lordan, who recorded a treble at Dundalk this afternoon, had to make a dash from the Co Louth venue after the last race at 6:05 to make the 7:25 at Leopardstown.

However he didn't make it in time and was replaced on the Willie McCreery trained gelding by Chris Hayes.

Brother Rabbit could only manage to finish fifth of the six runners.

McElligott said afterwards: "He had won on the horse before and I thought he had a chance.

"I appreciate the time was tight but I felt it was worth taking the risk."
