Partnered by Johnny Murtagh, the Denis Reddan-owned Give A Whistle took command entering the final furlong en route to accounting for Pipisflying by a comfortable two lengths .

The Billy Flavin-trained Lucky Gem, who was having just his seecond start for the Croom trainer, led from after the third last flight to beat Rain In Spain by a comprehensive nine lengths in the Galtee Meats Handicap Hurdle . Incidentally, Lucky Gem was crediting jockey Danny Howard with his eighth career success .

The Tommy Stack-trained Great Divide secured a dream run through on the inside a furlong out to deny market leader Martin Gunne by a length in the Tattersalls (Ireland) Auction two-year-old Maiden . Incidentally, Great Divide is owned by Patsy Byrne, one of the dominant forces in the British greyhound industry .

Irene Oakes is enjoying a magnificent season and The Curragh handler saddled her seventh winner of the year when her previous course and distance winner Zacholiv fended off Frametti by a neck in the Mitchelstown Cheese Handicap .
