Review FAIRYHOUSE 1ST DEC

Limestone Lad recorded his 33rd sucess and brought his career earnings to over 600,000 Euro when landing the Ballymore Properties Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

This was Limestone Lad's third win in the event, but he will have little time to rest on his laurels as he will next go to Navan before running at Leopardstown over Christmas. His long term target remains the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham and a mouth-watering clash with Baracouda.

Le Coudray is now a best priced 10/1 (Paddy Power) for the Sun Alliance Novice Chase at Cheltenham next March following his impressive victory over Barrow Drive in the Pierce Group Drinmore Chase.

The race developed into a match between the pair from over half a mile out. Barry Geraghty sent Le Coudray to the front approaching the second last and the gelding soon pulled clear of his rival to win by six lengths.

Hardy Eustace (4/1-5/1) quickened up in the style of a decent horse when swooping past Back In Front after the final flight of the Boylesports Royal Bond Novice Hurdle.

A delighted winning trainer Dessie Hughes said afterwards: 'He is a really good horse and will be better over a longer trip. I will step him up to two miles four furlongs at Leopardstown over Christmas with a view to sending him for the Sun Alliance Hurdle at Cheltenham.' Sean Graham bookmakers have reduced his price for the Cheltenham race from 16/1 to 10/1, while Cashmans have introduced him at 12/1.

Macs Gildoran continued a great weekend for the Willie Mullins' stable when landing the opening Star Racegoers Handicap Chase by two lengths from stablemate Ballyamber. Top-weight Ross Moff (7/1-5/1) was throwing down a strong challenge to the winner when taking a crashing fall at the final fence.
