Review LEOPARDSTOWN 18th Jun

Navajo Moon landed just the second victory of her career when she took the Listed Nijinsky Stakes.

Last for much of the nine-furlong contest under Danny Grant, she slipped through on the inside when they turned for home and quickly threw down a challenge to Jumbajukiba, who had just taken over.

As the favourite faded tamely, Navajo Moon beat off all-comers and held the sustained run of One Great Cat by a length and a quarter.

The David Wachman-trained four-year-old, in the colours of Sue Magnier, was returned at 10-1.

Aidan O'Brien has been carrying all before him at Royal Ascot and Sea Of Marmara kept the Ballydoyle ball rolling by winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden in the same Magnier colours.

Colm O'Donoghue came wide into the straight to deliver his challenge and swept to the front a furlong out on the 7-2 shot before holding Little Arrows by half a length.

Hot favourite April (5-6) did early leader Serious Times no favours when she squeezed through a tiny gap on the rails under Pat Smullen, but she could not mount a serious challenge. The jockey was suspended for two days for careless riding.

Zorija Rose landed the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden in determined fashion for Tommy Stack.

She was always prominent along with Hidden Door and Second Glance, and the three of them had the race to themselves coming down the straight.

Billy Lee pushed Zorija Rose (12-1) to the front with two furlongs to go and she would not be denied when favourite Second Glance threw down a challenge, running on strongly to win by a length and three-quarters.

First In Line met trouble in running when a beaten favourite last time out but there were no such problems this time and he recouped losses in the Foxrock Handicap.

Fran Berry brought the Charles O'Brien-trained three-year-old with a strong run down the wide outside to hit the front 150 yards out.

The grey Hampstead Heath put in a determined bid but was comfortably held by the 5-2 winner, who scored by a length in the colours of JP McManus.
