Review WEXFORD 26TH JUL

The Arthur Moore-trained Mount Kimble forfeited his maiden tag when collecting the Saltees Maiden Hurdle at Wexford on Friday with Barry Cash. Mount Kimble could now be seen in action at the forthcoming Galway festival.

Robert Power is experiencing a fine run and he was on the mark when Bracken Boy, trained under permit in Co Carlow by Tom Donohue, beat Firaalla in the Tuskar House Hotel Handicap Chase.

Meanwhile, the David Wachman-trained Soroka had to survice a stewards enquiry in the Whelkeen Maiden Hurdle. Soroka was ridden by Mark Grant and he incidentally is a son of the mighty Sadler's Wells.

Charlie Swan and David Casey are always a combination to be feared and they collected the Talbot Hotel Beginners Chase with Colonel Bradley, which runs in the familiar JP McManus silks.

Shane Fitzgerald partnered his first winner of the year when top-weight Fata Albertina carried top-weight to victory in the Powers Gold Label Handicap Hurdle.

Fata Albertina was a well-supported winner and the Tony Martin-trained Adolphus againt sent the bookmakers scurrying for cover when running out a game winner of the Talbot Hotel Handicap Chase with Ruby Walsh.
