Megans Joy scores at Tipperary

Megans Joy was back in the winners enclosure after winning The Ballykisteen Hotel & Golf Resort Tipperary Hurdle (Grade 2) trained by Colm Murphy with Davy Russell doing the steering for owner Glenview House Stud.

Russell raced his mount in mid-division, made progress travelling well entering straight, led after 2 out and despite jumping out to the right over the last two hurdles the Supreme Leader filly kept on well to win by 1 ? lengths holding off the efforts of Eric McNamara's Larkwing

"I'm delighted for the mare, she's had a stop start season and like a lot of my horses she's taken longer to come to herself. We were afraid of the ground, but she got through it well. She'll be better on better ground and should improve from the run. We will step her up in class gradually" said Colm Murphy afterwards.

Murphy also said that, "Brave Inca will have his first outing of the season in next couple of weeks."
