Milestone Prince gained a deserved first success at Wexford today, as the gelding finally rewarded connections with a win in the Ocean Harvest Technology Handicap Hurdle.

The Michael McCullagh trained five year old had finished second on each of his last three runs in the past six weeks and today scored a comfortable eight lengths win under jockey Paddy Kennedy.

McCullagh, whose flat jockey son Niall McCullagh landed the opener at Down Royal today, later stated "I think we might look at Galway now.

He will be entered for a three mile handicap hurdle on the Sunday; it might be a bit high for him but we'll see if he can get into it. I hope the handicapper isn’t too bold with him but with a run like that today he deserves an entry anyway."
