Six-time point-to-point winner Eddies Miracle registered his first 'track' success when running out a convincing winner of the hunters chase at Down Royal this afternoon.

Barry O'Neill produced the 4/1 shot to challenge front-runner Clondaw Frisby three from home in the two-mile three contest and he went on at the penultimate fence.

The David Christie-trained gelding galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a five-length success.

O'Neill said: "We always loved this fella. He was a little bit disappointing in a couple of runs but the two three (trip) suited him because he travels very well and can quicken off that.

"He won it very nicely and onwards and upwards.

"We were confident but we were just a little bit worried about the ground because it is deep enough out there. He coped with it well and jumped well and won snugly."
