“It was all about jumping and a bit of experience counted. David said he’d go on and the bit of experience made the difference,” trainer Colm Murphy commented after Mister Hotelier saw off Aerlite Supreme in Limerick.

"It wasn't the best contest. I imagine he'll go for a little novice before the ground gets really bad."

The seven-year-old made all under David Casey and put in a great leap at the last which enabled him to grind out victory at 2/1 from 5/4 favourite Aerlite Supreme by two and a quarter lengths in this extended two mile three beginners’ chase.

The runner-up was slightly hesitant over the last two obstacles and ultimately that cost him the chance to get on terms with the winner.
