Just as Stuccodor did in the previous race, Morning With Ivan followed up on her success at Gowran last Monday as she took the finale at Leopardstown this evening, the Leopardstown Club Members 3yo Handicap.

The daughter of Ivan Denisovich, failed to win on three starts in maiden company last year but she shed her maiden tag on her handicap debut at Gowran last week and she followed up in game fashion this evening.

Sent off at 3/1 she made all and responded well to pressure, pulling out more up the home straight to win by two and a quarter lengths. Kingdom was sent off the 7/4 favourite for Aidan & Joseph O’Brien but he couldn’t peg back the winner and had to settle for second while Smoker was a neck back in third at 3/1 for Patrick Prendergast and Chris Hayes.

Jim Bolger said afterwards: "She gets the trip well and we might have to go up another little bit with her now."

The winner holds an entry in the Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes at Naas on May 15th.
