Mossbank a non-runner in Munster National

Top weight and one time star chaser Mossbank has been declared a non-runner in today's featured ladbrokes.com Munster National Handicap Chase at Limerick today, but the weights for the race are left unchanged.

Due to carry top weight at 11st10lbs, the ground (officially 'Good') has been presented as the excuse for Mossbank's withdrawl, leaving the new top weight Dancing Tornado set to carry 11st1lbs.

Normally, in big handicaps, when the top weight (in this case set to carry 9lb more than the rest of the field) is withdrawn, weights for the race are risen to accomodate horses out-of-the-handicap.

Today's declared bottom weight Agus A Vic is in the race 'proper' and carries his correct 9st10lbs but, to add more complexity to the rule, reserves are not brought into the weights and today's third reserve Royal Blood is set to run from 7lbs out of the handicap.
